Recently, Gerry Harvey, co-founder and Chairman of one of Australia's largest retailers, simply said that online retailing doesnt make any money, wont work and he wont invest.
“Online people do not make any money,” Harvey also told SmartCompany. “The whole world was conned with online retailing. People say I’m a dinosaur, and I’ve had people coming to me with sites and saying, ‘Oh, look at this, they have 10,000 or 20,000 hits!’ – but it’s a con, a complete con.”
The truth is, it may or may not be worth trying, but in the end it has to work - businesses need to move towards this format of buying and selling as global costs will forever increase.
Its good to be back - Dude, where's my sleep?
